Benchmarking Drives the Success of Marketing Campaigns
PALM HARBOR, Florida — January 31, 2006 — Winn Technology Group, a leading marketer of B2B technology products and services, just received the analysis of an event it promoted for a client to benchmark an existing vendor. Winn generated 33% more registrations than the competition.
The client is a Fortune 500 company that provides enterprise software applications for database management, customer relationship management, supply chain management, application development, and collaboration. This client had been using the same vendor to promote its annual user conference for several years, and decided to put marketing best practices to work by benchmarking the vendor against Winn Technology Group.
Both Winn Technology Group and the competing vendor were given half of the client’s customer database and asked to generate as many registrations as possible in a two month timeframe. Winn Technology Group implemented its Event Management process, which enables high productivity rates while maintaining the integrity of client data at all times.
Initial feedback received from the client indicated that the event was a success based upon attendance, but the client needed to conduct a post–event analysis in order to gauge which vendor was more successful in obtaining registrations. A few months later, after a grueling internal analysis, the results were in — Winn outpaced the competition by 33%.
